UCR alumna Dr Adriana Massidda, now a Postdoctoral Researcher at Centro de Estudios Urbanos y Regionales CEUR/CONICET in Buenos Aires, Argentina, will present her paper 'The 1967 Flood in Buenos Aires: Disasters and the Intertwining Spatial, Natural and Political Processes in Shantytowns'. XXXV International Congress of the Latin American Studies Association in Lima, 28th April – 1st May 2017.
UCR PhD student Alex Young-il Seo will be presenting a paper called 'Korean Frontier Villages: Architectural Mechanisms for Occupying the Contested Border' at the International Conference 'Somewhere In Between: Borders and Borderlands' at London College of Communication on 29 April 2017.
